Homeopathy

I will be taking an online class/course Introduction to Homeopathy, starting Thursday June 5, 2008

Homeopathy (also spelt homoeopathy and homœopathy)
Etymology: from the Greek homoios, ‘similar’ and pathos, ‘suffering’.

What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a gentle, holistic system of healing, suitable for everyone, young and old. Homeopathy focuses on you as an individual, concentrating on treating your specific physical and emotional symptoms, to give long lasting benefits. The therapy is based on the theory of treating “like with like”. Homeopathic remedies are diluted natural substances that if given to a healthy person, would produce the symptoms the medicine is prescribed for. In the assessment of you, the patient, homeopaths will take into account the range of physical, emotional and lifestyle factors in order to prescribe the right medicine(s).

Homeopathy is a complementary therapy Homeopathy has been widely used throughout the world for more than 200 years. In 2000, the House of Lords’ Select Committee on Science & Technology cited homeopathy as one of the five Group One therapies, having “an individual diagnostic approach” along with osteopathy, chiropractic, herbal medicine and acupuncture.

Rian/parking lot

Having a hard time dealing with how careless and unkind some people can be. We were in the parking lot of the gym where Rian has Ice Skating practice and a lady came out of know where and almost ran over Rian. She never looked. Russ jumped in front of Rian as the back of the car tapped Rian. If Russ wouldn't of jumped in-front of Rian and kicked her car she would of ran over Rian. She never looked once. We all moved out of the way thinking the lady would stop and get out of her car or at least roll her window down to see if everyone was OK, nope she just kept on driving.

The Rules For Being Human

1. You Will Receive A Body. You may like it or hate it, but it will be yours for the entire period of this time around.

2. You Will Learn Lessons. You are enrolled in a full time informal school called LIFE. Each day in this school you will have opportunities to learn lessons. You may like the lesson or think them irrelevant and stupid.

3. There Are No Mistakes, Only Lessons. Growth is a process of trial and error
Experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately are a “success.”

4. A Lesson Is Repeated Until Learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can then go on to the next lesson.

5. Learning Lessons Does Not End. There is no part of life that does not contain its lessons. If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned.

6. “There” Is No Better Than “Here.” When your “there” has become a “here,” you will simply obtain another “there” that will again look better than “here.”

7. Others Are Simply A Mirror Of You. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects something you love or hate about yourself.

8. What You Make Of Your Life Is Up To You. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you choose to do with them is always up to you.

9. All Of Your Answers Lie Inside Of You. The answers to your life’s questions lie inside of yourself. All you need to do to make the best decisions is trust yourself.

10. You Will Forget All This, And You Can Remember It Whenever You Want. Remember these
essential rules for being human. Share them with others.
Please re-read #1. Love it, or hate it, this is your body for the rest of your life. You can’t replace parts as you
can on your car. You can’t trade it in for a 2008 model. You must take care of this one because it’s the only body you’ll ever have.
